We were knocked over by the ummm… enthusiastic? reaction to our latest release, the Elodie Wrap Dress. I think it’s the most excited we’ve seen people get about one of our designs and I gotta be honest: it felt great. I can’t say I’m all that surprised; every time I floated around in one of my own Elodies I would think, “People are going to flip over this design”. Sometimes it’s hard to predict if people will like a pattern or not, but a romantic wrap dress seems to be a winning look!
Speaking of winning looks: how about we check out some of our tester makes?! It’s always great to see a pattern on a variety of figures so you can get a sense of how it will fit you. We made a few subtle changes to the final pattern but nothing super major, just some tweaks to the bodice fit in the bust area. Hope you enjoy these beauties! Seeing these pictures come in is always our favorite part of a pattern’s development – there is generally a lot of happy squealing on my end.
I don’t want to pick favourites but I’m particularly fond of Elise’s pink gauze version, and Yavanna’s super dramatic yellow maxi (I highly suggest you check out the gorgeous photoshoot Yavanna shared on Instagram!) It’s always a fun surprise to see what fabric people chose, and this testing round proved just how many types of fabric work for this dress. Drapey or structured, choose your adventure!
